Wanting to attend this Group for the first time.
If you wish to attend this group, you first need to contact the respective person running that group. Please do not simply turn up. You may be turned away as spaces are limited.

Activities

The Group are using a .177 Air Gun, and caters for up to 18 members. We start with members shooting pre-charged rifles from a sitting position and progress according to ability to shooting in a standing position.

Members will get the opportunity to shoot pre-charged air pistols and also an opportunity to shoot in a prone position when they feel comfortable with the shooting range and technique. Different types of targets will be used from standard card targets to knock down targets.

All members will need to follow the Range Safety Rules at all times, and everyone will need an introductory briefing. A briefing is run at the start of each session so members will need to be present at the start. Members may be asked to assist in the setting up or taking down of the range. Members can bring their own air guns providing they are .177 calibre, and they will be checked by the Group Leader (Craig) before being used.

2025 has been a very busy year with shooting and competitions being held each month. Following the U3A Celebrations and from marketing the group has grown from 20 members to 30 members and we will be shooting in 2 separate groups from January 2026.
