Dates for your diaries 2026
Events open to all Crawley u3a members include our Monthly Meetings, our Coffee Mornings, the AGM, and Celebration Events. These events are free of charge. In addition, members can book to attend our Seasonal Trips and the Annual Christmas Party. All are a great way to meet people and find out about Crawley u3a. Dates are published in our Newsletter and on this page.

Monthly meetings
The meetings are informal and include a news update from the Chair, information on the u3a locally and nationally, a guest speaker, then tea or coffee and a chat. All monthly meetings are on the second Friday of a month, and start at 2.30pm and are held at the Friary Hall, Haslett Avenue West - Town Centre. Please note that there will be no monthly meeting for November 2025 (AGM) or December 2025 (Christmas Party).

Coffee Mornings
The most recent Coffee Morning was held on Wednesday 25th March at the Friary Hall. Keep an eye on this page to see when the next one will be. The coffee mornings are an opportunity for members to catch up with friends over a cup of tea or coffee and for new members to come along, make new friends and find out more about what Crawley u3a has to offer at the new members’ tables.
There is no formal structure, refreshments are provided free of charge, and there is a jigsaw puzzle swap and a book sale. A recent small increase in the price of books to £1.00 has been made, but still excellent value to pick up a second hand book.
New Members who have joined Crawley u3a since the previous Coffee Morning are issued a special invitation to join one of the New Members' Tables at which a Trustee will explain what the u3a has to offer and answer any questions, and Non-members who plan to join the u3a are also welcome to attend. In addition, outside organisations by prior arrangement may attend with displays, advice and occasional demonstrations.
Seasonal Outings
Next trip is to Windsor and a visit to the Castle on Monday 18th May.
For full details on this trip, visit our web page May 2026 Seasonal Outing or you can read all about the trip in the March Newsletter.
Liz has very kindly agreed to organise this next trip, but still hopes to step aside during 2026. Over several months, we have made numerous appeals for volunteers to replace her, to no avail. If you think you can help in any way, please could you contact Graham Friday, our Treasurer, who will pass on your details to Liz so you can have a chat. Thank you.
