What you get for your membership when you join:
Free attendance at our monthly meetings and social events, such as the coffee mornings held three times a year, and (for a small fee) our annual Christmas Party, are a great way to meet people.
Meetings & Groups:
Please note that prior to joining Crawley u3a you are able to attend two separate u3a activities as a try-out before being required to become a member. This can be a single meeting of up to two different Groups or one Group meeting and one Monthly meeting. It is not possible to become a member of a Group on an ongoing basis if you are not a member of a u3a organisation.
Access to a wide range of Crawley u3a interest groups. No qualifications are sought or offered. Learning is for its own sake, with enjoyment being the prime motive, not gaining qualifications or awards. Normally a small fee is charged per term to cover the cost of room hire for each group. Contact an individual Group Leader if you are interested in a particular group, or contact the Assistant Groups Coordinator.
The Crawley u3a Newsletter is produced every month, other than August, and will be sent to you directly by email. If you don't have email then you will still get a personal copy each month.
The national u3a magazine, “u3a Matters”, is published five times a year and sent through the post. You receive this free of charge until the end of your first membership year and then, when you renew your membership, you have the option to pay a small additional amount to continue to receive it, if you wish to do so.
Registering with your local u3a Membership details on the National site will give you access to online interest groups and other activities run by the National u3a. In addition, there is access to u3a Friends Extra benefits program (featuring discounts, offers, and additional services across a range of areas) and the opportunity to attend a u3a Summer School with other u3a groups.

How much does it cost?
The annual membership is just £14, or £10 if you are a fully associated member of another u3a. Our membership year runs from the 1st September to the 31st August. If you join after 1st March the cost is reduced by 50%.
