Council Services

Crawley Borough Council deal with local issues for housing, benefits, financial matters, health, refuse collections, parks, sport, leisure, history and heritage, planning, environment, and other matters. They are based in the council offices in Town Hall, The Create Building, The Boulevard, Crawley.

Sussex age UK can offer free confidential advice on a range of topics such as social care, pension credits, attendance allowance or debt issues.

Crawley Community Action is a countywide independent charity which supports voluntary and not-for-profit groups with advice and services. It also has details of Good Neighbour schemes in your area.

Good Neighbours Network service provides support to older people living in West Sussex who are living alone and are socially isolated.
Staying Safe

Sussex Police can provide you with information about what is happening in our area, you can find your local officer, get the latest crime statistics and advice, report a crime, help them with appeals for information, and find out what they’re doing to tackle crime in your area.

Lifeline
Lifeline is a personal alarm to use at home in an emergency, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, allowing you to maintain your independence and feel safe in your own home. One press of your Lifeline button connects you to the Alarm Receiving Centre where an operator will take your call and get you the appropriate help.
Anyone living in Crawley and the surrounding areas, including Crawley Down, Turners Hill, East Grinstead, Copthorne, Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath can have a Lifeline.

Crawley u3a Facebook For matters directly related to Crawley u3a, there is a Facebook page that can be used by members and group leaders to post information and news on Crawley u3a activities about the groups they attend, outing pictures, last minute changes to events, and other items. To join: Login to your Facebook account, search for Crawley u3a, and Request to Join. Our administrators will then accept your request.
Crawley u3a Facebook Extra For members to post matters not directly related to Crawley u3a, but which a member wishes to share within the u3a, for example other charities' events, reciting a poem, one of their own photos, forwarding an interesting post from another Facebook page etc. To join: Login to your Facebook account, search for Crawley u3a Extra, and Request to Join. Our administrators will then accept your request.

Sussex Live Crawley gives up to date local news, sports and information about what's happening in Crawley.

Visit Crawley is a site with lots of information about what's going on in Crawley with theatre, days out, places to visit etc.

BBC Radio Sussex is a local radio station in Surrey that plays music and news. You can listen live online or on DAB digital radio in the county.
