Risk Assessments

Trust Risk Assessment FAQs explains why and when risk assessments need to be completed, and advises that they need to be retained for three years as this is the time frame in which a claim can be made.

Sharing Risk Assessments The organiser of any trip or event should share the relevant risk assessment with all members responsible for undertaking any of the mitigating actions. The risk assessment form itself does not need to be shared, just the mitigating actions.

Risk Assessment Forms
The new risk assessments made available by the Third Age Trust in September 2022 covered a greater range of activities and were much improved compared to those previously provided. Subsequently, the Crawley u3a risk assessment forms were developed by Crawley members and are more detailed, covering organisational matters. Where they exist it is up to the Group Leader whether the Trust or Crawley version is used.

If nothing here is relevant for your event please contact the Crawley u3a Secretary who will produce one for you.
