On 1st July 2025 Crawley u3a took on the lease of a small office, which can be used as our Registered address for external agencies to contact us, but primarily is for those of you who are recognised as Authorised Users, i.e. anybody acting as a Trustee or in a support role, involved in the organisation of a Group, or running an event.
The office is to be used for the following purposes:
- Trustees, Support Role Holders, and Group Leaders to access our Printer/Photocopier (a Xerox C405 Metered Printer), to do other work, and to hold small meetings (maximum of three people);
- Store our event equipment, publicity material and archives
- Serve as our Registered Office
To become an Authorised User,
You need to Contact the Secretary. You will then be given a Door code to get into the 2nd floor of Orchard House and a Code to the key safe on the outside of the office, to obtain the key to unlock the door.
All relevant information regarding access to our office for those authorised users is set out below:

| Location in Crawley | Gleneagles Court is located just outside the town centre in Southgate, about 250 metres south of the level crossing on the east side of Brighton Rd and around 10 minutes’ walk from County Mall, the Friary and the Bus Station in Crawley Town Centre. |
| The Orchard | The Orchard is a three-storey building owned by Crawley Council but managed by Crawley Community Action (CCA) of which we are a member, and a number of community organisations rent space there. |
| Office Location in the Orchard | 2nd Floor. Go up the stairs to the right of the front door of the Orchard to the 2nd floor. Go into the large open plan office on the left (S2) and S1 is the first small office on the left. |
| Orchard Opening Hours | 9:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) so you can only visit our office during these hours. |
| Access Details | Contact the Secretary for access codes to both the 2nd floor of The Orchard and the office S1 itself, as well as other relevant information. In addition, a copy of the Guidance for Authorised Office Users document will be sent to you. It is also available via this link, and a copy will also be available inside the office, It explains everything you need. |
| Is there car parking at The Orchard? | There is a small car park at the front of The Orchard with a few spaces for visitors though additional parking can be found at the rear. Users should leave a note on their dashboard indicating that they are u3a members working in Orchard House. Remaining spaces within the Gleneagles Court complex are reserved for other organisations and should not be used. The nearest public car park is at 2-4 Brighton Road. |
