Activities

We are an informal social group, for those of us, mainly living alone, and without family nearby, who can sometimes find weekends rather difficult. We do not have a group leader but our contact point is Jean Austin.

Of course, we don’t have to meet at weekends only; our plans are to be flexible, and this is very much NOT a conventional group, with a leader. The idea is that someone might, for example, contact the others to say “I am planning to go to Horsham tomorrow for shopping and lunch. Anyone else care to come along?” For this reason we have set up a WhatsApp group, so it is essential that all members should have use of a smart phone, or at least the internet.

Some things we have done since we formed: coffee and chat, brunch, Sunday lunch, evening meal, local concert, trips to East Grinstead, Horsham, Brighton. We try to keep things local, in Crawley, or somewhere accessible by bus.
